My degree has helped me immensely in what I need to do as my role as business owner and CEO. Just today in fact, I had to do a presentation to our entire company about how we did for the first quarter and our goals for the second. My degree certainly helped in the realm of public speaking but another more subtle skill that I got from my degree is that of reading people and their wants/needs/desires. This skill was built in my Interpersonal & Family Comm classes and may be even more important than the first as it’s what really allows me to create a meaningful impact on people.
