COMM Studies Welcomes Erin O'Connor to the Faculty

The Department of Communication Studies is elated to have Erin O'Connor joining us in the Fall semester as our newest faculty member. Erin will be teaching COMM 3010 and serving as the Director of Undergraduate Advising. For the last few years, she served as an adjunct professor for the department, teaching classes such as Interpersonal Communication, Small Group Communication, and Non-verbal Communication at UNT's Frisco campus. Erin secured her M.A. from Western Michigan University in 2011, and is in the process of earning her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. When asked what excites her about the job, Erin said "I cannot wait to introduce students to the research I love, and I get a first-row seat to seeing what they get excited about, which is super inspiring." Even with so much up in the air right now regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, Erin is confident we can get through this together! Her office is going to be Jurassic Park and Golden Girls themed, so please stop by and welcome her in the Fall!
