To promote civic engagement and voting, Lambda Pi Eta hosted a "Get out the Vote" mock voting event on Election Day. People were encouraged to vote for their favorite candidate -- Gary Johnson, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Jill Stein ... or Jay Allison. In the end, Obama beat out Dr. Allison by ONE vote, but we suspect ballot tampering (specifically by Dr. Allison who felt that governing the department was sometimes as challenging as governing the country).
