Debate Alumni/William DeMougeot Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis to outstanding students who participate in the activities of the North Texas Debate Team.
Olive M. Johnson Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis to outstanding students who participate in the activities of the North Texas Debate Team.
Curtis M. Loveless Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis to outstanding students who major in communication studies and participate in the activities of the North Texas Debate Team.
John Gossett Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis to students with at least a 3.0 GPA who participated in debate and speech in high school and who participate in the activities of the North Texas Debate Team.
Cathy Krendl Graduate Scholarship: This scholarship and stipend is awarded ona competitive basis to graduate students who participated in debate and speech in college and who assist in the coaching of the North Texas Debate Team.
Performance Studies Scholarship
Lesa Woody Memorial Scholarship in Oral Interpretation and Performance: This scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis to undergraduate and graduate students who participate in curricular performance studies classes and extracurricular performance studies intercollegiate festivals and other activities. Candidates must maintain full-time enrollment at UNT; major in Communication Studies; meet and maintain the academic performance standards of the Communication Studies Department; enroll each semester in a performance studies course within the department; and participate in the co-curricular activities of the Performance Interest Group.
