The Department of Communication Studies honored its graduating seniors at last week's Senior Recognition Ceremony. Family and friends joined faculty to celebrate a day before the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences commencement ceremony in a smaller and more personal gathering.

Dr. Suzanne Enck began the ceremony, with greetings from COGS' president Laura Puentes, COMM Librarian and graduating senior Aaron Delgado, COMM Future Pros Vice President and graduating senior Zoe Pitts, and COMM 1010 assistant and graduating senior Mary Jane Taylor. Chapter advisor Dr. Mark Hlavacik honored graduating Lambda Pi Eta members. Dr. Suzanne Enck then introduced the 2023 Horizon Award, which was awarded to Sarah Switzer, UNT-COMM Class of 2015. Following Ms. Switzer's keynote address, Dr. Megan Morrissey led the recognition of the graduating seniors. Dr. Joseph McGlynn closed the ceremony.

We are so proud of our graduating seniors! While you may be leaving UNT, you will not be leaving our COMM-unity! We cannot wait to see what you continue to accomplish as you advance toward the next stage of your lives.
