In the spring semester of 2020, after almost six years with our department, Dr. Mark Hlavacik secured tenure as an associate professor in the Department of Communication Studies at UNT. This milestone reflects years of hard work and dedication to the craft. Not only has Dr. Hlavacik published in many reputable journals, such as Rhetoric & Public Affairs and Communication Education, but he has also published his own book, Assigning Blame: The Rhetoric of Education Reform.
