Dr. Karen Anderson and her advisee Norma Jones, coordinated a partnership with the NT Arthritis Foundation, Liquid Flicks Media, and Muller Film and Television Education Foundation to create "The Faces of Arthritis" Public Service Announcement to bring awareness to Juvenile Arthritis.

Dr. Anderson and Jones, a second year MA student, collaborated to develop the concept and script for the PSA. Jones and her partner Brent Jones, co-owners of Liquid Flicks Media, donated their equipment and time to shoot and edit the PSA. N Jones, who also serves as the Director for Education and Research for the Muller Film and Television Education Foundation, coordinated further support from Muller Entertainment to have facilities at the Studios of Las Colinas donated. Graduate students also participated during the shoot. Damla Ricks helped to map out the talent, Beth Kaszynski photographed the shoot, while Bethany Germany helped keep the children occupied between takes. On December of 2010, The NT Arthritis Foundation presented the Communication Studies Department with Outstanding Media Partner Award. The public service announcement is available for limited release and slated for national airing in July, 2011.
