Q: How long have you been a TA?
A: Since January of 2016. I am in my 4th semester of graduate school.
Q: What courses do you teach or assist with?
A: Right now, 3010, 3920, and 4020.
Previously, 1010 and 2140.
Q: What are your current academic / career goals?
A: Academically, I potentially want a PhD but for now I'd like to get experience in the corporate world but I am not sure what realm I want to pursue.
Q: What has been the greatest reward of being a TA?
A: Being my authentic self and having the community of TA's.
Q: What has been the greatest challenge of being a TA?
A: Patience with students and also making sure to balance work with graduate classes.
Q: As an undergrad, had you always considered graduate school?
A: I had because my family always pushed education. It was just a matter of where I wanted to pursue my Master's degree.
Q: What projects or research are you currently working on?
A: I am finishing a problem in lieu with Dr. Anderson-Lain about identity and adoption. I am also writing and directing a show about secrets and communities called, It Takes a Village. It goes up November 1-5.
Q: Are you involved with any other extracurriculars at UNT?
A: I do intramural sports at UNT.
Q: What are your plans after graduating?
A: I hope to get an internship for the remaining time I have in the area and then move away with a fellow graduate student.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Chicken Nuggets
