Congratulations to graduate student Rhett Richardson, whose paper "Nicaragua: A Perspective on Disaster Communication," was ranked as the top student paper for the Intercultural Communication division of the Southern States Communication Association's annual conference. Rhett's paper, which described his experience in Nicaragua as part of a study abroad course, will also be considered for the Bostrum Award, which recognizes the most outstanding paper submitted to the convention each year by a graduate student. The SSCA conference is scheduled for April 5-9, 2017, in Greenville, South Carolina.
