UNT Debate Team Finishes 2nd Place in Debate Sweepstakes

The UNT Debate Team competed this weekend at the Bayou City Swing Tournament where thet finsihed in 2nd place for the debate sweepstakes with a closeout in NPDA (National Parliamntary Debate Association), finals in IPDA (International Public Debate Association), 3rd in semi-finals in NPDA, 5th in quarters in IPDA and 6th place in Extemp speaking! One of their members and junior at UNT, Alex Dickson, was awarded the Top Speaker across both the NPDA and IPDA at Bayou! Go Mean Green! We are so proud of the debate team!
