Melanie Williams PhD (B.A. 1991; M.A. 1993), UNT Communication Studies alumna, has spent the past two decades applying health communication principles to her work with the Texas Department of State Health Services, previously known as the Texas Department of Health.
For the second consecutive year, Dr. Brian Richardson won Top Paper honors in the Organizational Communication Division at the Eastern Communication Association’s annual convention.
Dr. Karen Anderson-Lain was recently announced as the 2018 UNT Foundation Outstanding Lecturer Award recipient. The UNT Foundation Outstanding Lecturer Award recognizes a full-time lecturer who has made significant and sustained contributions to the University as evidenced by the quality of their teaching and service. This award is the university’s highest honor for full-time lecturers.
Dr. Joseph McGlynn recently published an article entitled, “Desire or Disease? Framing Obesity to Influence Attributions of Responsibility and Policy Support” in the journal Health Communication.
