On Monday Nov. 12 at 6pm Communication Studies Professor Shaun Treat will be giving an invited guest lecture keynote on "Why Comic Books Matter" to the UNT Honors Hall GEEKCON event in the Honors Hall Lobby. They are showcasing UNT clubs, courses, and activities in "a week of geek pride" that is open to students and the public. Prof. Treat has been invited to talk about his course MYTHIC RHETORIC OF SUPERHEROES (click for the class blog with updates; upcoming Summer 2013) as well as other UNT classes using comics in their curriculum.
